PlumePack - v3.2.5
3.2.5 - 23 October 2026
- New Features:
- New in Beta (Pro and Unlimited licenses): consolidations can be started automatically by an external program. Contact us if you want to integrate PlumePack into your workflow
- Improvements:
- Support for Premiere 2027 (Beta). Remember to always double check your results when using Beta programs
- Media relinking in the new project is now done in small batches, and the project is saved after each batch. If Premiere Pro freezes or crashes during the "New Project Adapt & Relink" step, reload the task from this step: it continues from the last saved batch instead of starting over
- Added support for media with 16 mono audio channels in the "Match Audio Layout" transcode presets
- Transcode: media are now sent to Media Encoder in small batches instead of all at once, to keep Premiere Pro and Media Encoder light on projects with hundreds of clips. The progress bar now follows the encoded duration, and shows the current batch and job
- Transcode: when a task is reloaded from the Transcode step (for example with "Continue Task" after a crash), files Media Encoder had already finished are checked and kept instead of being transcoded again
- Transcode: PlumePack warns when Media Encoder still has jobs waiting from an earlier session (they would be rendered again), and offers to clear them. This check is made as soon as you launch the queue, so a queue left running unattended (overnight for example) never waits for an answer
- Transcode: when PlumePack had to open Media Encoder itself, it closes it once the transcode is over, to free memory for the next steps and tasks
- Fixed:
- Freeze when trimming spanned RED (.R3D) clips with "Give each Media a Unique Filename" enabled
- Explicit bug: some timeline clips were wrongly detected as using an AI Mask (Object Mask) and excluded from trimming/transcoding, even when no AI Mask was used
- The audio channel setup of a project item changed with "Modify > Audio Channels" was lost after trimming or transcoding (timeline clips were not affected)
- The audio channel setup of some project items changed after trimming when Premiere Pro reads the trimmed file differently from the original, for example a stereo project item became 2 mono
- Premiere Pro 2027: keyframes of the Color Mode effects were shifted in time after trimming
- macOS: the GoPro CineForm transcode presets are no longer in the list, as Premiere Pro on macOS cannot import CineForm files (the transcoded media were offline in the new project)
- Transcode could wait forever when Premiere Pro stopped reporting finished jobs while Media Encoder kept rendering, or when a job failed as soon as it was added to Media Encoder
- Transcode now stops with a clear message when Media Encoder is closed or crashes, instead of waiting forever. The "Stop" button now also stops Media Encoder's rendering
- Transcode: when a file already existed at the destination, Media Encoder saved the new file under another name ("_1") and the consolidated project used the old file. The file Media Encoder wrote is now used
- Transcode: a media lost because Media Encoder crashed or restarted while rendering it is now sent again once at the end of the transcode, instead of directly falling back to a copy of the original
