Influx - v1.7.0
1.7.0 - 13 September 2026
- Support for After Effects, Premiere and Media Encoder 2027 / v27.0 BETA released on Creative Cloud in August
- Fixed several crashes, freezes and memory leaks
- Improved AV1 decoding, better playback and scrubbing on long GOP videos
- Seeking :
- H.264 and H.265 / HEVC videos with open GOP sometimes showed the wrong image, now fixed
- Some AVCHD / MTS, MPEG-TS and .VOB camera files are not covered yet, we are still working on those. Contact us if you get issues with those files
- Quicktime Reference movies (also called Atomized) :
- They are a very small .mov that holds no video itself, only a pointer to the picture and sound stored in separate files next to it, produced by EVS and other broadcast servers. They're not supported yet, contact us if you need Influx to import Reference movies.
- They now report the clear error "No decodable video frames" instead of the confusing "Both sides of cache invalid while opening video frame"
- Filename suffix options (filename!options.influx) :
- Filenames containing "!" now import correctly, options are read after the last "!"
- Using only !w= or only !h= (to change width or height) now keeps the original resolution's aspect ratio
- Messages and Logs :
- Fixed a false “Influx unexpected issue” error that could appear when reaching the end of a video
- The warnings "Frame X was not found, replaced it with frame Y", "Replaced frame X with frame Y due to a contract violation (seek went forward)" and "Replaced multiple frames, file might have Variable Frame Rate" are now shown only once per file until restart
- Less "Time went backwards, this file is likely broken" warnings on files with B-frames
- ProRes files recorded by OBS and similar tools can have wrong metadata, Influx will now show the "ProRes flavor is not declared" warning message, indicating you that other applications may have trouble importing this file
- Settings & License Popup :
- The list of extensions to override is no longer case sensitive, and accepts a leading dot, for example "MKV" and ".mkv" now work
- Fixed a delay when closing the Settings & License popup with the OK button
- macOS : minimum supported version is now 12.0 (Monterey), 11 (Big Sur) is no longer supported
- Influx V2 GPU Decoding : if you're interested in BETA Testing the next version of Influx with GPU Decoding, contact us !
